Born and raised in Miramichi (“the Chi”), New Brunswick, Jennifer moved to Fredericton in 2001 to attend law school at the University of New Brunswick, following a path she had set for herself at age 12. Called to the Bar in 2005, she became a partner at the young age of 27. She then went on to build an accomplished career, earning numerous awards and achievements along the way.
On January 2, 2019, Jennifer embarked on her own journey by opening her Boutique Law Firm, J. Donovan Law Group. The firm has been growing over the last seven years, opening a 2nd office in Miramichi on July 20, 2021, a 3rd location in Saint Andrews in July 2023, and a 4th location in Saint John in November 2025. She is not done yet…J. Donovan Law Group is still continuing to grow!

With over 21 years of family law litigation experience, she knows how to position her clients’ cases for the best possible outcomes.
